LIV ASTA PRIVATE LIMITED · LA-GUEST-02 · Version 2.1 · In force from 28 October 2026 · livasta.com/policies/guest/party-event-agreement

This Party and Event Guest Agreement ("Agreement") is made between LIV ASTA PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN U52291DC2026PTC473382), registered office at Plot 2, District Centre, Shivaji Place, Raja Garden, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi – 110027 ("Livasta", "we", "us", "our"), operator of the Livasta platform at livasta.com and in the Livasta app (the "Platform"), and every person who books, requests, organises, sponsors or manages an Event at a Property through the Platform (the "Organising Guest", "you", "your").

It applies to Bookings made mainly to hold an Event — for example birthday, anniversary and family celebrations, baby and bridal showers, bachelor or bachelorette parties, engagement and wedding functions, private dinners and social gatherings, corporate meetings, product launches, workshops, seminars and networking events, cultural and community events, music events, and photo or film shoots — and to any other Event approved by the Host and Livasta.

It supplements the Livasta Terms & Conditions and is read with the Staying Guest Agreement (LA-GUEST-01) and the policies in the Schedule. Where an Event Booking also includes an overnight stay, the Staying Guest Agreement governs the stay and this Agreement governs the Event; on Event matters, this Agreement prevails.

Events carry higher safety, legal, financial and reputational risk than ordinary stays, so Event Bookings are subject to stricter verification, approval, conduct and liability rules. This Agreement is an electronic contract under the Information Technology Act, 2000. By submitting an Event Booking request, paying, confirming an Event Booking, entering the Property for an Event or inviting Attendees, you agree to be bound by it.

1. Definitions

Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Staying Guest Agreement. In this Agreement:

TermMeaning
AttendeeEvery person present at the Property in connection with the Event, whether or not named in the Booking — guests, performers, vendors and staff included.
Curfew TimeThe latest time for music, amplified sound and Event activities, being the earliest of the times set by Applicable Law, police or municipal directions, the housing society or resident welfare association (RWA), the House Rules and this Agreement.
EventAny party, celebration, function, gathering, meeting, programme, workshop, seminar, shoot or similar activity at the Property.
Event BookingA Booking expressly approved for an Event under section 6.
Event CategoryThe risk category Livasta assigns to an Event (Categories I–V in LA-GUEST-13).
Event CoordinatorThe adult you name to be reachable throughout the Event (section 12.3).
VendorAny decorator, caterer, DJ, performer, photographer, videographer, security, cleaning or technical contractor, or other supplier you engage.
Enhanced Security DepositA refundable deposit that Livasta may require for an Event Booking (section 22).
Guest ListThe list of approved Attendees you provide where asked.
Maximum CapacityThe highest number of people allowed at the Property for the Event, as approved under section 10.2.
Neighbour ComplaintA complaint from neighbours, a housing society or RWA, the police or municipal authorities, the Host or other occupants.
Unauthorised EventAn Event held without approval under section 6, or outside the approved conditions.

2. Eligibility of the Organising Guest

  1. You must be at least 21 years old (25 for Category V Events) and legally able to contract.
  2. Your identity must be verified under LA-GUEST-05 before an Event Booking is confirmed, and Livasta may ask for more (for example a payment-method check or a call).
  3. A company, LLP, partnership, society, trust, school or other organisation may book through an authorised representative. Livasta may ask for its certificate of incorporation or registration, GST registration, a board resolution or authorisation letter, and the representative's identity.
  4. Your eligibility must continue throughout the Booking. Tell Livasta at once of any change affecting it or the nature of the Event.

Livasta may refuse an Event Booking that involves unlawful activity, unacceptable safety risk, false identity, a suspended or barred account, a prohibited Event (LA-GUEST-14), or undisclosed commercial activity.

3. Principles

  • An Event Booking is not an entitlement: it needs approval by the Host and Livasta, verification and compliance with Applicable Law.
  • Livasta may attach conditions to higher-risk Events — a higher deposit, security staff, insurance, shorter hours or lower capacity.
  • You are fully responsible for every Attendee, Vendor and invitee.
  • Approval by the Host or Livasta does not replace any licence or permission the law requires (section 8).
  • Livasta may refuse, suspend or cancel an Event Booking where there are reasonable grounds to believe it may endanger safety, break the law, seriously disturb neighbours or expose the Host or Livasta to undue legal or reputational risk.

4. The Event Booking request

Every Event Booking must be made through the Platform. A request creates no rights until a Booking Confirmation is issued. You must give complete and accurate information about:

  1. the purpose and type of the Event and your name as organiser;
  2. the date, start and end time;
  3. the expected number of Attendees and, where asked, the Guest List;
  4. entertainment, live music or DJ;
  5. food and drink, and whether alcohol will be served;
  6. Vendors, decorations, equipment or temporary structures; and
  7. security and parking arrangements.

Failing to disclose material information is a material breach. After you submit the request, you may not change the purpose, size, timing, entertainment, alcohol arrangements, number of Attendees or Vendors without the prior approval of the Host and Livasta through the Platform.

5. Verification of the Event

Livasta may verify information about you, the Event, your Vendors, your payment method and the Guest List, before, during or after the Event. It may ask for an invitation, the schedule, Vendor contracts, insurance documents, entertainment details, and a seating, parking or security plan. Enhanced due diligence may apply to some Events (LA-GUEST-13, section 3).

6. Approval

The Host and Livasta each decide whether to approve an Event; approval is discretionary. They may consider the Event Category, the number of Attendees, your age and booking history, your ratings, the type of Property, how sensitive the neighbourhood is, and security, noise and regulatory risk.

Approval may be subject to conditions, for example a higher deposit, insurance, professional security staff, shorter hours, a lower Maximum Capacity, extra verification, or police or municipal permission. A request may be refused where the Event would break the law, false information was given, the Property is unsuitable, the risk is unacceptable, there is previous misconduct, required approvals are missing, or it would expose the Host or Livasta to significant risk. Neither the Host nor Livasta has to approve any request.

7. Booking Confirmation

An Event Booking becomes binding only when the Host and Livasta have approved it, your verification is complete, all conditions of approval are met, payment is successfully captured, and Livasta has issued the Booking Confirmation. The Confirmation records the approved date, times, Property, Maximum Capacity and any special conditions.

Changes after confirmation need approval through the Platform and may change the price, conditions or verification required. A Confirmation obtained by fraud, misrepresentation, failed payment, identity theft or technical manipulation may be cancelled by Livasta, without affecting its other rights.

8. Permits, licences and local rules

You must obtain every licence, permission and approval the law requires for your Event, and comply with municipal and police directions, fire rules, building bye-laws, housing society and RWA rules, environmental and noise rules. Depending on the Event these may include police or loudspeaker permission, entertainment or public-performance licences (including music licences), fire approval for temporary structures, an excise permit where alcohol is served, food-safety registration of caterers, and drone permission.

Failure to obtain a mandatory approval may lead to cancellation, refusal of entry or termination of the Event, reporting where the law requires, and loss of fees as allowed by LA-GUEST-04. You must cooperate with lawful inspections. A checklist is in LA-GUEST-13.

9. Insurance

Livasta may require event insurance depending on the size, Category, risk and Property — for example public liability, property damage, personal accident, event cancellation, third-party liability or equipment cover. Where required, proof must be given before the Booking is confirmed; without it the Booking may be cancelled or the Event refused or stopped.

10. Attendees, capacity and access

10.1 Your responsibility

You are responsible for the conduct, safety and compliance of every Attendee, Vendor, performer and invitee until all of them have left the Property. A breach by any of them is your breach.

10.2 Maximum Capacity

The approved Maximum Capacity must never be exceeded and can never be higher than fire-safety limits, the occupancy certificate, building and municipal limits or housing-society rules — the lowest limit applies. Once it is reached, nobody else may enter.

10.3 Guest List, entry and screening

Where asked, you must provide a Guest List and lists of Vendors and security staff. The Host or Livasta may check attendance (entry registers, digital guest lists, QR or wristbands, lawfully installed CCTV or security staff), require entry passes, and carry out reasonable bag checks where needed for safety or by venue rules. The Host may refuse entry to anyone who is intoxicated, violent or abusive, carries prohibited items, refuses identification where lawfully required, would exceed capacity, or poses a safety risk. You must keep out anyone not authorised.

10.4 Overcrowding

If the Property becomes overcrowded, the Host or Livasta may stop admissions, require people to leave, stop entertainment, end the Event or notify the authorities. In an emergency the Host or the authorities may reduce occupancy immediately.

11. Before the Event

  • Coordinate with the Host in advance, including access, timings and deliveries.
  • Make sure every Vendor is licensed where needed, follows safety rules and the House Rules, and leaves when the Event ends.
  • Decorations must not damage the Property, block exits, CCTV or safety equipment, or create a fire risk; structural changes need written approval.
  • Stages, lighting, sound systems, tents, generators, inflatables or other temporary structures need prior approval.
  • Organise orderly parking and deliveries that do not disturb neighbours, and arrange for all waste — including decorations and food waste — to be removed.

12. During the Event

12.1 Timing

The Event must start and end within the approved times. Any extension needs approval through the Platform or from the Host and may cost extra.

12.2 House Rules and restricted areas

Everyone must follow the House Rules, housing-society rules and this Agreement, use the Property and appliances with care, and keep out of staff, maintenance, electrical and roof areas, locked rooms and any area the Host marks as private.

12.3 Event Coordinator and contacts

Name an Event Coordinator who stays reachable throughout the Event. Your contact number and the Coordinator's must work for the whole Event.

12.4 Emergencies

Everyone must follow evacuation instructions from the fire service, police, disaster-management authorities, the Host, security staff or Livasta at once. Get medical help immediately for anyone who needs it and tell the Host and Livasta about any serious incident (procedure in LA-GUEST-14).

13. Noise

Run the Event without unreasonable disturbance to neighbours and the community, in line with the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, environmental laws, municipal and police directions, society and RWA rules, the House Rules and any limit set by Livasta. Under those Rules, loudspeakers and public-address systems are generally not allowed between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am, and local rules may be stricter.

All amplified sound, DJs, live performances, instruments and noisy fireworks must stop by the Curfew Time. Lower the volume immediately when asked by the Host, Livasta, security staff or the authorities. After a Neighbour Complaint, the Host or Livasta may require the sound to be reduced, entertainment to stop or the Event to end early. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to the Event being stopped, deductions under section 22, extra cleaning or security charges, account action and reporting where the law requires.

14. Alcohol

Alcohol may be possessed, served or consumed only as the state excise law allows, with any permit or licence it requires obtained before the Event. Some states and union territories prohibit alcohol altogether, and the legal drinking age differs by state. Alcohol must never be served to anyone below the legal drinking age. Discourage excessive drinking and do not run drinking games or encourage dangerous behaviour. The Host or Livasta may prohibit or limit alcohol where the law, the Host or the housing society forbids it, or to prevent nuisance, injury or damage.

15. Smoking, drugs and hazardous materials

Smoking and vaping are allowed only where the Host designates and the law permits — never in non-smoking rooms, lifts, staircases, fire exits, children's areas or enclosed spaces where the law prohibits it. Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances are strictly prohibited. Do not bring explosives, hazardous or toxic chemicals, flammable liquids beyond normal household use, illegal fireworks or weapons prohibited by law onto the Property.

16. Fireworks, open flames and fire safety

Fireworks may be used only where the law allows, the Host has approved them in writing, it is safe for the Property and fire-safety rules are followed. Candles, bonfires, sky lanterns, torches and other open flames need the Host's prior written approval. Never obstruct, tamper with or disable smoke detectors, alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, emergency lighting, exits or signage; emergency routes must stay clear throughout.

17. Security and CCTV

Depending on the size of the Event, Livasta may require professional security guards, crowd controllers, fire marshals, medical or emergency staff, who must keep order, control access, protect the Property, respond to emergencies and work with the police.

Where CCTV exists, it may be used only for security, investigating incidents, protecting property and legal compliance, and must never be installed in washrooms, bedrooms, changing rooms or other private areas. Report fights, theft, fire, injury, damage, suspicious activity, police involvement and medical emergencies to the Host and Livasta immediately.

18. Vendors and contractors

You are responsible for every Vendor you engage. Vendors must comply with the law, fire and building rules, safety protocols and the Host's instructions. Heavy equipment needs written approval. Caterers must hold the food-safety registration or licence the law requires and keep proper hygiene.

19. Respect, conduct and prohibited Events

Every Attendee must treat neighbours, the Host, staff, security, Vendors and other occupants with courtesy and respect, and respect neighbouring properties and shared areas (lifts, corridors, parking, gardens). Abuse, threats, intimidation, harassment (including sexual harassment), bullying, stalking, violence, public nuisance and disorderly conduct are prohibited, as is discrimination on grounds of race, caste, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status or any other characteristic protected by law.

The Property may not be used for any unlawful or prohibited purpose. The list of prohibited Events and activities and the Event Code of Conduct are in LA-GUEST-14.

20. Health, children, facilities and environment

  • Take reasonable steps to protect the health and safety of all Attendees.
  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Swimming pools, gyms, terraces, rooftops and other facilities are used at the user's own risk and under the Host's rules.
  • Do not block ramps, accessible entrances, lifts or other accessibility features.
  • Use water, electricity and gas responsibly; do not damage trees, gardens or water bodies; dispose of waste properly and never leave hazardous waste on the Property.

21. Stopping or shortening an Event

The Host or Livasta may require all or part of an Event to stop where reasonably necessary to protect life, health or property, prevent unlawful conduct, protect public safety, follow the directions of the authorities, deal with a material breach of this Agreement, or respond to an emergency. It may be ended immediately in case of violence, criminal or drug activity, serious damage, fire hazards, overcrowding creating a serious risk, repeated refusal to follow lawful instructions, or imminent danger.

If an Event is ended, you must make sure everyone leaves promptly and in an orderly way. If it is ended because of a material breach by you or your Attendees, you will not normally receive a refund, without affecting any right you have under Applicable Law. Refusing to follow lawful instructions may lead to removal from the Property, termination of the Booking, deductions under section 22 and account action.

22. Price, payment, fees and deposit

You must pay the total shown before confirmation. It may include venue or stay charges, any cleaning fee, the Livasta Platform Fee, extra-guest charges, approved equipment, utility, Vendor-access or parking charges, and any Enhanced Security Deposit. Payment terms, failed payments, chargebacks, refunds and taxes follow the Booking, Payments and Fees Policy (LA-GUEST-03).

Where required, an Enhanced Security Deposit is collected before the Event to cover damage, excess cleaning, missing items, electrical or fire-safety damage, unauthorised decorations, waste removal, extra security or emergency costs and curfew or noise breaches. The deposit does not limit your liability if losses are higher. The undisputed balance is released after the post-Event inspection and any claim is resolved, within the time stated in LA-GUEST-09. The factors used to set the deposit are in LA-GUEST-13.

23. Damage and recovery

You are responsible for damage caused, directly or indirectly, by Attendees, Vendors, contractors, performers, invitees or security staff you engage, other than reasonable wear and tear. The Host may prepare an inventory before the Event and inspect the Property afterwards, preferably with you. Damage claims, evidence, your right to respond, recovery beyond the deposit and the damage-assessment guidelines are in the Damage, Cleaning and Security Deposit Policy (LA-GUEST-09).

24. Fraud prevention

Livasta may monitor transactions with automated checks and manual review, and may hold, delay, decline or cancel a transaction where it reasonably suspects identity theft, payment fraud, money laundering, sanctions breaches, account compromise or other unlawful activity. You must cooperate with reasonable verification requests.

25. Cancellation

25.1 By you

You may cancel through the Platform; the cancellation takes effect when the Platform acknowledges it. Refunds follow LA-GUEST-04: the cancellation terms shown at checkout, how long before the Event you cancel, preparations already started, costs the Host has already incurred, and any non-refundable third-party costs disclosed before booking. If neither you nor an authorised representative arrives within the agreed time and nothing was arranged in advance, the Booking may be treated as a no-show, which is not normally refundable.

25.2 By the Host

A Host may cancel a confirmed Event Booking only for a legitimate reason, such as force majeure, safety concerns, legal restrictions, damage making the Property unusable, or fraud or material misrepresentation by you. If the Host cancels without fault on your part, you receive a full refund including the Platform Fee, and Livasta may help you find another venue (without guaranteeing availability, price or suitability).

25.3 By Livasta

Livasta may suspend or cancel an Event Booking before it starts where it reasonably believes that this Agreement has been materially breached, false information was given, payment has failed, fraud is suspected, verification is incomplete, the Event is unlawful, public safety may be endangered, or the Booking exposes the Host or Livasta to serious legal, operational or reputational risk. If the cancellation is due to your breach, refunds follow LA-GUEST-04 and Applicable Law.

26. Complaints, claims and disputes

Report problems with access, cleanliness, safety, security, misrepresentation, utilities or discrimination through the Platform promptly. You may claim for misrepresentation, wrongful denial of access, wrongful cancellation, refundable deposits or billing errors; the Host may claim for damage, excess cleaning, unpaid charges, curfew breaches, unauthorised occupancy or extra security costs. Complaints and disputes follow the Guest Grievance Redressal and Dispute Resolution Policy (LA-GUEST-16): internal resolution first, then arbitration by a sole arbitrator seated in New Delhi under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, in English, with the courts at New Delhi having jurisdiction for interim relief and enforcement. This Agreement is governed by the laws of India. Nothing here removes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

27. Event content and the Platform

If you upload invitations, photos, videos, logos or other material, you confirm that you have the rights to it, it does not infringe anyone's rights and it is lawful. You give Livasta a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process it to operate, secure and support the Platform, and — only where you have separately agreed — for promotion. All rights in the Platform remain with Livasta or its licensors; you receive a limited, revocable licence to use it for lawful Event Bookings and must not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, interfere with or circumvent it.

28. Privacy and confidentiality

Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy and the Guest Privacy and Data Protection Notice (LA-GUEST-11). Keep confidential any non-public information you receive through the Platform — the Host's details, security procedures, access codes, non-public prices and internal communications — unless it is public, lawfully obtained elsewhere, or must be disclosed by law.

29. Force majeure

Neither Livasta nor the Host is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, floods, cyclones, fire, epidemics with legal restrictions, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, government lockdowns or court orders, widespread utility or internet failures, national emergencies, or cyber incidents affecting critical infrastructure. The affected party must notify the other as soon as practicable and try to limit the effects. Refunds follow LA-GUEST-04.

30. Your promises, indemnity and liability

You confirm that all information is true, the Event will comply with the law and all required permits will be obtained, the Maximum Capacity will not be exceeded, the Event will not infringe anyone's rights, every Attendee and Vendor will follow this Agreement, the Property will be returned in substantially the same condition (fair wear and tear excepted), payments are lawful and from an instrument you may use, and you have authority to enter this Agreement.

To the extent permitted by Applicable Law, you will compensate Livasta, its directors, officers, staff and agents for third-party claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach, unlawful conduct, negligence or wilful misconduct, injury or death caused by you or your Attendees, damage to the Property, infringement of intellectual property, false statements, or the acts of your Attendees or Vendors. Livasta may take over the defence of such a claim.

Livasta acts as a marketplace and is not the owner or operator of the Property unless the Listing says so. To the extent permitted by law, Livasta is not liable for the acts of Hosts, Attendees, Vendors or third parties, interruption of utilities, or indirect or consequential loss, and its total liability for an Event Booking is limited as stated in section 22 of the Staying Guest Agreement. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

31. Suspension and termination

Livasta may suspend your account where it reasonably believes this Agreement has been materially breached, fraud or unlawful conduct has occurred, payments are in default, repeated complaints have been received, or there is a safety or platform-integrity risk — immediately where needed to protect life, prevent fraud, preserve evidence or comply with the law. It may terminate your access for repeated material breaches, established fraud or criminal activity, legal requirements or unacceptable risk. Enforcement steps and appeals are in LA-GUEST-12. Termination does not affect accrued rights, payments due, damage claims, indemnities or dispute provisions.

32. Electronic records, notices and general terms

  • Livasta's electronic records may be relied on as evidence, subject to Applicable Law. Notices may be sent by email, SMS, app notification, WhatsApp (where you have agreed) or on your account; OTP confirmation, click-wrap and similar electronic acceptance are valid acceptance.
  • This Agreement, the Staying Guest Agreement, the Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Schedule policies are the whole agreement for Event Bookings.
  • Livasta may update this Agreement; material changes are notified on the Platform before they apply, except where needed immediately for legal, security or fraud reasons. The version you accepted applies to your Booking.
  • You may not transfer this Agreement or a Booking. Livasta may assign it in a reorganisation, merger or sale without reducing your rights.
  • Not enforcing a right is not a waiver; an invalid provision does not affect the rest; nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment.
  • Payment obligations, damage claims, indemnities, confidentiality, data protection, intellectual property, liability limits and dispute provisions survive the end of the Booking.

33. Acceptance

By submitting an Event Booking request, paying, clicking "I agree", entering the Property for an Event or organising or attending it, you confirm that you have read and understood this Agreement, had the chance to take independent advice, accept it voluntarily, and will comply with it throughout the Event Booking. Livasta records the version you accepted.
